The clear bottle of testing solution is designed specifically to indicate whether your silver is high-quality or low-quality. A cream color indicates high quality, usually sterling; black color indicates coin quality, green color indicates high amounts of copper/poor quality; gold color indicates brass/silver plated item.
The red bottle of testing solution is designed specifically to differentiate between different grades of silver. Bright red indicates fine silver (.999); Dark red indicates .925 silver; Brown indicates 800 silver; Green indicates 500 silver.
Test solutions work best in small quantities, so it’s recommended to use the neutralizing solution in small amounts for each test. Since we’ve included 2 bottles, this amount should last through many tests.
