This testing solution is designed specifically to indicate whether your silver is high-quality or low-quality. A cream color indicates high quality, usually sterling; black color indicates coin quality, green color indicates high amounts of copper/poor quality; gold color indicates brass/silver plated item.
Test solutions work best in small quantities, so it’s recommended to use the neutralizing solution in small amounts for each test. Since we’ve included 2 bottles, this amount should last through many tests. Please note that this testing solution is not used to differentiate between different types of silver (example: .999, .925, .80)
The silver testing kit with a testing stone is ideal for jewelry makers and sellers, coin collectors and sellers, and metalworking enthusiasts and appraisers alike! Each bottle contains .5 ounces of testing solution and the stone measures 2.25” x 1.75”.
